The popular 6.5 Creedmoor takes advantage of superior ballistic coefficients to offer flatter trajectories as well as reduced wind drift at levels that are usually reserved for much heavier recoiling long action calibers. These improvements in ballistic efficiency help modern shooters extend the effective range out to 1,000 meters or more.
