The lenses are fully multi-coated to even increase all these properties. The reticle in Nightforce ATACR Rifle Scopes is set in the second focal plane, so the reticle has the same dimensions on all magnifications, or, if the name contains the letters ˝F1˝, the reticle is set in the first focal plane. This means, the reticle simultaneously changes the dimensions when changing the magnification. This is mostly used when shooting on different distances, so you can easily make corrections with the reticle. Also for measuring distances, the FFP reticle is very useful. The benefit of the second focal plane reticle is the thickness because also on the biggest magnification the reticle doesn't cover a lot of the target.
